What if all the NFL logos were British?

So about a year ago I put Peyton Manning's face on all 32 team logos.

I then did fake mockups for all 32 teams new jerseys

Now I did it again. This time, with all the talk about the NFL possibly expanding into London (which for the record, I think is a terrible idea for a multitude of reasons) I decided to make every logo and team name...a representation of the British Proper Gentleman! Get ready for some monocles! And Bowler hats! And Mustaches! Don't take them too seriously, folks.

And here are a few alternates for the Browns:

Bam. Anyway in case the watermark on each picture confuses you, that would be my Football related webcomic, The Draw Play. I spend far more time updating that instead of this page, so be sure to check it out! I update twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with football jokes. And yes, it's going to continue during the offseason. It will help slow the pain.

  1. Well done sir. I read the Draw Play weekly as well - let's hope this goes viral. You deserve it...

  3. brilliant idea; yet a rather luck-luster execution if i don't say so my self. Carry on then.

  4. These sure are mighty fine, pardner. Would you mind if I suggest a few minor steps you could take to improve them??

    1. Apply for a passport. Not very many Americans have one of these, but it's basically a special document that enables you to leave your own country and visit another one. Unheard of!

    2. Get on a plane and fly to London. Try to ensure that the plane lands in 21st-century London, and not some ludicrous Disneyland parody of London that appears to be stuck in the late 19th century.

    3. Taking on board what you have learned, redesign everything from scratch.

    1. Yeah, but if his plane misses the point as badly as you did he'll end up drawing the teams all eating kimchi and doing taekwondo.

    2. Yeah but if his plane misses the point as badly as you clearly did he'll end up drawing the logos all eating kimchi and doing taekwondo.

    3. Allow me to suggest a few minor steps you could take to improve yourself:

      1. Pull your head out of your arse
      2. Get a sense of humour
      3. Stop being such an uptight, stodgy tosser

let me know how that works out for you! <3 x

    4. Stuck in the 19th century? Have you seen English Premier League logos?
      Arsenal is a cannon.
      Westham is a castle.
Manchester United has a ship with a devil holding a trident.
What century are these from, exactly?

  8. Perhaps it's not every limeys cup of tea. This one found it amusing though, I particularly liked the brookfieldshire billy goats. Good show old boy!

  13. I had no idea that Brits have bad teeth AND no sense of humor?! Thanks for dispelling any allusions, prior commenters!

  14. This is AWESOME! I don't understand some of the British slang but the pictures are hilarious! Loved the ones for Houston (is that the Chicago Bulls logo?), Carolina and Jacksonville (for obvious reasons) and Miami (my favorite team).

  15. these are awful! you can't use the monocle and mustache on almost every single one!!! They all look too similar, I think you should try again and make them more unique and original.

  16. Minor quibble - the Brits spelling of what we know as the SST Concorde did not include the "e" at the end but gave in to the French (it was a bi-national project) and allowed the e. During design and initial production, Brits called it the Concord. So if they had the opportunity to rename the NY Jets, I bet they'd leave the "e" off.

    But hillarious stuff, great work.

  17. Pure awesomeness! Please let these be t shirts. Loved it!

  18. Wow! Hope you didn't waste a lot of time on this. You'll never get that time back.

Sorry broheme, but your work is weak sauce. A corny regurgitation of stereotypes without a trace of cleverness.

They all look like Mr. Peanut. Stupid monocle.

  19. This is absolutely brilliant and fantastic. Thought the Redskins one was a little unnecessary though...could have easily done something that accentuated the awesomeness and spirit of American Indians vs. what you did. It's also the only one you created that really doesn't make sense as far as it being an actual "name" of a team. That being said...Bravo, chap!

  20. Well done! The Prancing Horsies needs a monocle!

  21. wow that's erm... awful. Are you British or American out of interest?

  22. but who are the two expansion teams?

  23. will you please do this for all the college teams? Please include my alma matter Auburn University.

  24. Simply inspired.

Many of the names trump the designs, so well done indeed, old boy. The penultimate of course being the 49ers. Oh the delectable levels of meaning that lay therein!

I do like both Browns alternatives better than the elves.

Clearly you nailed the NFC North: Frigid Tosspots, Whiskery Growly Cats (may be the best of them all) Uncouth Norsemen and Jolly Good Biters.

It was clearly intentional, as they appear in every logo, but it might have been good to ease up on the use of the spectacles and top hats. They be more powerful that way.

    Still Awesome.

  25. Like many of them but a bit overuse of the mustache, monocle, and pipe/cigar.

Missed a good opportunity with the Vikings to incorporate something from the Monty Python spam sketch.

  26. To any Brits offended by this...grow up. As a Brit I find the stereotyping funny and harmless....and if im not cheering for the billygoats by 2018 then something is SERIOUSLY wrong

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh it's not the stereotyping, that's the whole point of the joke... it's just that out of all the available British stereotypes, he's used the same one over, and over, and over, and over, and over... *yawn*

What an incredible, indefensible lack of imagination.

  28. Houston now twice as hillbillys? You've never been to Houston, have you sweetheart?

  29. Dandy. It's dandy I tell you! :-)

  30. Needs more chav/#lad/hooligan culture than the Victorian angle - if you're going to go with the stereotypes you might as well be using ones that are actually relevant in this century.

The Steelers one is on the right track but is ruined with the pointless monocle.
